As summer wraps up and you take the one last trip you may find yourself seated next to a cute stranger on a plane. Why is that
so hot?
Of course, I have a theory! In Thrillist’s recently published article,
Why Are Mile-High Meet-Cutes so Common?, I talk about how being a stranger…and un-google-able, is sexy and mysterious! It’s been a well known fact that mystery can be sexy, but when you put it into the context of traveling, the excitement has just gone up a notch. Traveling, especially for pleasure, can increase dopamine levels in your body. The anticipation leading up to the trip, the excitement of going somewhere new or seeing family and friends, all these can heighten the dopamine levels. And, how can we forget, flirting with the idea of the “mile-high club,” even if you have know intentions of joining…it’s still hot!
But can meeting someone on a plane lead to something real and sustainable? I think it has just as much potential as meeting someone at a bar. The same variables to lifestyle and compatibility still apply, you just happen to have met 30,000 ft. in the air. I say, go for it!

End of summer means back to school, and for us, back to dating! Cooler weather, family gatherings and holiday parties are fast approaching and when September hits, it seems everyone goes into the “winter is coming” mindset. The stress and anxiety of attending another Thanksgiving where your grandma asks if you are ever going to meet someone becomes very real again.
