After a seven-year career as an economist, she started date coaching in 2011. She is responsible for many relationships, marriages, and the confidence some people simply need to “get out there.”

If you’re looking to refresh your dating strategy in 2024, get a pen and notepad ready because we covered some fire advice:
Are you on the apps? Here is Erika’s 50 five rule for more intentional swiping. The next time you open Hinge or Tinder, stop swiping when you get to five likes, five matches, or 50 swipes, whichever comes first. This will allow you to focus on messaging those people that you liked instead of swiping into eternity. Success on dating apps is about converting conversations to dates, not keeping a million people in your queue!
Challenge yourself to go to five events on Eventbrite before the end of this month (there are 31 days in January, so you have extra time). They don’t even have to be dating-related. Go to beer yoga or intramural volleyball. Be bold and channel your inner Maria, if you must!
Give the people who you’ve lost touch with a call. Find out what they’ve been up to, whether they have any single coworkers, and whether they’re attending any upcoming events. Ask if you can come with them! Reconnect with those periphery friendships because they can widen your network and help you get closer to the one.
